Job Purpose:


To propose engineering plan integrating reservoir and well data to optimize the well production.
To collaborate with drilling and operation team to propose new well and completion technology to improve the asset value.
To propose techniques and equipment to be used during the exploration, appraisal and development production test to ensure the quality of the data gathered.
To supervise reservoir behavior during production to ensure a cost effective reservoir management.

Main responsibilities:


To identify engineering solutions for field development, by interpreting and discussing reservoir model and well data with reservoir team, in order to maximize recovery efficiency and improve the field economics.
To collaborate with Reservoir and Exploration team to define objectives of well testing and data collection for exploration, development, and production wells proposing the techniques and the equipment to be used ensuring completeness of information and cost control.
To collaborate with drilling and operation teams to propose development wells completion design.
Key activities:


To collaborate with drilling and operation teams to introduce new technology to improve the well design in order to maximize the field recovery and improve the economics.
To define completion and work over programs and requirements to maximize production ensuring technical quality and cost effectiveness of the solution adopted.
To follow up and coordinate with operation team the data and sampling transfer from wells to laboratories and main offices.
To monitor production activities, analyzing production data to verify compliance with forecasts and to propose the necessary actions in order to ensure a cost effective reservoir management.
To supervise contractors defining technical specification, checking the quality, controlling time scheduling and costs.
To prepare and participate with project leader to committees with partners and government agencies to explain technical solution adopted in order to get their approval and keep them informed at each stage of the project.
To keep abreast of the evolution in the petroleum engineering field, with reference to techniques and equipment, in order to improve performance and reduce costs.
Education: Degree in Petroleum Engineering
Languages: Fluent English (spoken and written)
Required Experience:


Minimum 5 years of Oil & Gas Industry experience
Minimum 3 years of reservoir study activities
Required knowledge, technical or professional skills:


Well Production:
Well Testing, Well Problems Analysis & Diagnosis (Formation Damage, Hydraulic Fracturing, Stimulation, Sand Control, etc.), Artificial Lifting, Production Data, Decline Analysis, Production and injection rates optimization, Production Budget & Workplan.
Well Data Acquisition & Evaluation: Geology. & Drilling well program, Wireline formation testing RFT, Well Test Design & field follow-up, PVT sampling design, Cased Hole Log Interpretation.
Engineering Tool Practice: very good knowledge/practice of computer based engineering tools (i.e. Prosper, Eclipse, Interpret2, Matbal, Saphir).
Reservoir Modelling and Characterisation: Material balance (p/z, 1d Mod.) - Reservoir 3D Geometry Model and Geostat.Reservoir Characterisation - 3D Model Initialisation, History Match, Computed Aided History Match Techniques, Forecast Techniques - Capillary Press. use, eval & normalis. - 3D Compositional model - Dual porosity & dual perm. 3D mod. - 3D Complex Well Modeling - Field & Wells Completion Scheme Design - Reservoir Uncertainties Risk analysis -
Technical Reserves Evaluation - Improved Oil Recovery Tecniques - Compaction & Subsidence Model.
General knowledge of the Russian petroleum systems and hydrocarbon accumulations
Specific knowledge of the Russian Oil and Gas Industry best practices and rules.
